Calcium Bentonite is a mineral-rich clay, formed from aged volcanic ash. One of the greatest properties of clay is its remarkable absorption/adsorption power. It has a unique way to attract impurities and toxins out the body. Simply put, clay has an electronegative charge, whilst impurities and toxins are electropositive. Our Bentonite is one of the purest natural skin detoxifiers. It will gently exfoliate and penetrate deep into the skin to cleanse it of impurities.

Apply as a face mask, hair rinse, poultice, detox foot and bath soak.

Clay Mask:

Take about 1 teaspoon of the bentonite clay powder and about 1 teaspoon of water or apple cider vinegar and put it in a bowl or cup. Mix the two ingredients well, until it forms a paste consistency. You can add a little more water or a little more powder, to obtain a muddy consistency. Apply the bentonite clay mask to your face.

Leave the mask on for about 20 minutes. Rinse off the mask, using just water. You may have to gently scrub a little with your fingers to get it off. Put some good oil of your choice to re-moisturise the skin after the mask (coconut oil, apricot oil or almond oil are all good options).
